Douglas R. Horn founded The Horn Law Firm in 1990 concentrating his law practice in a wide variety of personal injury and wrongful death claims, including complex cases involving significant injury and life-changing disability. Over the years Horn has handled numerous liability cases in the areas of vehicular collisions, premises liability, medication/pharmacy error, and dangerous conditions.

Based in Kansas City, Horn represents clients across Missouri and has a national practice in the area of pharmacy error. Different aspects of Horn's law practice have been profiled in the news media and he frequently publishes in the area of personal injury law. Before opening Horn Law, Horn helped represent large corporations, construction entities, health-care providers, and insurance companies in complex litigation matters. He also assisted manufacturing corporations to help prevent legal exposure. Horn's experience on "the other side" of cases uniquely prepared him to represent plaintiffs and obtain full and fair compensation for his clients' losses.

Horn, who resides in Lee's Summit, Missouri, is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for trial attorneys who achieved a trial verdict or settlement in excess of $1 million.

Horn also heads The Horn Law Foundation which provides charitable support to several organizations, including Messiah Lutheran School, Lutheran High School of Kansas City, The Women's Clinic of Kansas City, and Mother's Refuge.

Horn is active in his church, Messiah Lutheran Church, which is located in Independence, Missouri; he is an ambassador of Messiah Lutheran School. Horn is presently serving on the Board of Directors for Mother's Refuge, a non-profit shelter for pregnant teenage girls.

Attorney Laurie Del Percio leads the Horn law litigation team. As the Lead Litigation Attorney, Ms. Del Percio regularly litigates complex injury and death cases involving auto and truck collisions, medical error, premises liability, work / industrial accidents.

Since joining Horn Law in 2002, Ms. Del Percio has obtained many notable personal injury and medical negligence verdicts and settlements, including 6 cases listed in the Top Verdicts and Settlements 2009 published in the Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Additionally, Ms. Del Percio has recently been voted "Best of the Bar" by her peers as featured in the Kansas City Business Journal.

Prior to joining Horn Law, Ms. Del Percio practiced as an insurance defense attorney representing large insurance companies in personal injury litigation. The broad scope of Ms. Del Percio's experience gives her unique advantages in representing injury victims with significant injuries and physical disabilities.

Ms. Del Percio earned her Juris Doctorate with Distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1999. Previously, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with Distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1996. She is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Missouri Trial Lawyers Association and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.

Ms. Del Percio has appeared before numerous State and Federal courts, including the state trial courts in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Minnesota, and Arizona and the United States District Courts in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and Iowa. She is well-versed in all aspects of civil trial rules and procedures and recently successfully argued the Johnson v. McCullough case before the Missouri Supreme Court which dealt with jury selection.

Ms. DelPercio is a recipient of the Thomas E. Deacy, Sr. Memorial Trial Practice Award and has been named in America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals, Strathmore's Who's Who, and is a member of the Order of Barristers.
